Get the Message: Chalkboard Platter

I am looking for the perfect spot to display this chalkboard platter, hoping it will help us keep up with memory verses, chores and appointments this fall. I found the plastic gold platter at Hobby Lobby and convered the center with adhesive chalkboard roll. A sheet of tissue paper pressed onto the platter helped me cut a pattern to fit the platter. I traced and cut the pattern from the chalkboard roll and carefully eased the backing off the roll as I moved across the platter. Finally, I smoothed out bubbles and used an Xacto knife to trim rough edges as needed. Placed near the door or in a high-traffic area of our home, I hope this message center will offer an encouraging Word when we need it.

If you live near Memphis, take note! I will be speaking for a ladies day tomorrow at the Bartlett Woods Church of Christ in Arlington, Tenn., and would love for you to join us. Find out more about the church here.

"For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another" (1 John 3:11).
