Through the Garden Gate

"One of the most delightful things about a garden is the anticipation it provides." ~ W.E. Johns

My friend Vonda and I discovered plenty of garden inspiration during our recent trip to Atlanta for the Country Living Fair. Here are a few of our favorite vignettes.

These next few images are from nature-inspired vendor Gathered Comforts.

A Fragrant Garden Gift

Fragrant olive oil soaps from My Sister's Antiques made great favors for several girlfriends. These mild soaps are mixed by hand and molded in pine boxes. I love their natural look, and they smell wonderful too. Scents like Tea Rose Oil with Oatmeal made all of my Country Living Fair purchases smell heavenly! According to My Sister's, olive oil soaps work for dry, sensitive, acne-prone and allergy-prone skin. Even the name -- My Sister's Old Fashioned Soap -- made these soaps a perfect fit for my weekly Bible study buddies. I wrapped each bar in burlap, tied a purple ribbon around, and tucked in a few springs of lavender for a sweetly scented gift.

My girls were thrilled with their soaps, and I am pleased to offer a giveaway opportunity for you, too. My Sister's Antiques is offering a gift of soap to one fortunate follower of A Little Loveliness. Visit the My Sister's Antiques blog here, or peruse a lovely selection of shabby decor, "mantiques" and architectural elements in their Main Street store in Loganville, Ga.
