Finally, I am back! We had a time with the stomach flu, and wouldn't you know it hit just as Joe was preparing to head out of town for five days? Thankfully, Joe is back and the flu is gone, so we have been able to enjoy this beautiful spring weather. And what better way to celebrate springtime than with an impromptu tea?
We are enjoying the last blooms from our bridal veil bush. I love the dainty sweetness they bring to the table.
My mother gave me these mugs a few years ago, and they were perfect for our relaxed afternoon teatime.
A simple menu of muffins, strawberries and cookies tasted even better sampled in the fresh spring air.
Our azaleas provided the perfect backdrop for enjoying a cup of tea. Let's hope we are all trading winter germs for spring fever!
"It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want -- oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!" -- Mark Twain

These photos are so incredibly beautiful!! Nothing beats fancy afternoon tea =) x
First of all, I'm so happy that you are all better, Melissa, and secondly what a GORGEOUS tea. Every single thing you touch is lovely, and this is no exception. I adore bridal veil, and it will always, forever remind me of my mother who used to make arrangements with it. Thanks for sharing...
XO,
Sheila :-)
