What could be easier than making a pillowcase dress for an 18-inch doll from a tea towel (see yesterday's tutorial)? The only thing I can guess would be winning one in this week's giveaway. This ecru dress with soft green ribbon ties features delicate embroidery and sweet butterfly trim. To enter, simply leave a comment below. I will announce the winner next week.

That is precious. As a mommy to three girls ages 2,4 and 6 I love to visit your blog for inspiration. My girls would love to dress their dolls in that precious gown, although I am thinking it might actually be precious on a newborn. We are expecting although we haven't found out yet if it is another girl or a boy!

I would love to win the little dress, but I think I would love getting a few of your mom-in-law's beautiful tea towels just as well! I have a few old tea towels and hankies bought years ago to make collars, etc for our daughter and couldn't bring myself to cut them up! I may have to make a dress or top for our 2 year old grandgirl though!
I want it! I want it! Pick me! My Emma is just now discovering the American Girl dolls and is desparate for clothes for her. She has one outfit. She got her doll passed down to her from her older sister and is in desparate need of a fashion makeover. I can't imagine anything more lovely than this fabulous dress which would also double as her wedding attire for a September wedding where Emma will be the flower girl. She has perused assorted websites and searching for lovely garb for her new found affection. Fingers crossed! :) -Ashley
OH what I would do to be a little girl at your house! This tea-doll-dress is adorable, I'd love to win one! My two little grand-daughters will be playing with dolls soon! Heidi

I have sewn vintage pillowcases into dresses for babies and toddlers for years. It's my signature sewing for christenings when I use a linen pillowcase with a machine embroidered monogram. So..I will make your pattern into a dress for my SAGA Chapter American Girl doll raffle this Fall. Thanks for the tutorial. Oh, and I would love to win this dress as well. Susan VH
Would love to win this for my 8 year old! She would adore it! Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "tea towel"? I am going to go on a hunt to find some next week so when my daughter returns from camp we can sew together!

My two daughters have spent numerous hours this Summer playing with their dolls, clothes, and props. They even had fun washing their doll clothes outside in a tub on a hot day and hanging them up to dry with mini clothespins.
