Curious George Birthday Party

We recently celebrated my niece Kadence's birthday with her family in LaGrange, Ga.

My brother, Nathan, used favorite photographs of Kadence to design her invitation.

My sister-in-law Shana used red and yellow tablecloths, bananas and some of Kadence's favorite Curious George toys to bring the theme together.

Curious George Party Menu

PB&J Sandwiches
Fresh Fruit & Dip
Banana Chips
Yummy Ranch Salsa Dip with Wheat Crackers
Potato Chips
Chocolate and Strawberry Cupcakes
Chocolate Curious George Cake
Banana Pudding

Yummy Ranch Salsa Dip

8 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces sour cream
1-ounce package Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing mix
10-ounce can Diced Rotel Tomatoes and Green Chilies, well drained
Pinch of lime juice, optional

Mix all ingredients together, adding one at a time. Chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving. Serve with Ranch Wheat Thins (the best), Original Wheat Thins or plain potato chips.

Shana asked me to bring banana pudding. Find my recipe here.

Jennifer designed these adorable cupcake toppers, and Shana made the cupcakes. They were a hit!

A local bakery made Kadence's birthday cake, inspired by a clip-art image Nathan and Shana found.

Curious Kadence loved her party food! She has the cutest personality and expressions.

Gorgeous yellow mums set the tone for the party, and beautiful weather allowed everyone to stay outdoors for the afternoon.

Shana assembled party favors in clear cellophane bags: Curious George cups and stickers with banana candies.

The birthday girl has her hands full with a monkey that is almost as big as she is!

One of Kadence's sweet little friends plays with a balloon.

Another petite playmate pauses on the stairs.

A sweet moment between 3-year-old Kadence and a beloved neighbor. These two share a special relationship, and Kadence was eager to show him her birthday presents.

Bailey and the boys. Carson and Christian couldn't get enough of Kadence's baby sister, Bailey. She is such a cutie!

We snapped a few family photos after the party.

Be sure to stop in tomorrow to see a barrel of monkey gifts to go bananas over.

My son loves Curious George too! Your party was adorable! Where did you get the cups and stickers from? I've found cups on Amazon, but they look like they are disposable... If you wouldn't mind sharing my email is annambarclay@gmail.com

Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. See the link below for more info.
