October Gives a Party

How blessed we are to say that fall is here! There is a delightful chill in the air this morning -- even in sunny Alabama. It is time to gather flowers in autumn's vibrant hues.

To pile on the pumpkins and gourds.

And to sample some of fall's best flavors, like my grandmother's pumpkin roll (recipe here).

It's time to pull out the pumpkin soup bowls and fill them with something delicious. I'm working on a new soup recipe and hope to share that with you sometime this month.

And time to wrap our little ones in warmth with easy fall projects, like this sweatshirt I made Mary Ashley a couple of years ago (instructions here).

Yes, October is throwing a party, and we are all invited to celebrate fall!

October gave a party;

The leaves by hundreds came -

The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,

And leaves of every name.

The Sunshine spread a carpet,

And everything was grand,

Miss Weather led the dancing,

Professor Wind the band.

Melissa, Just stopping by to say what a blessing your blog was to me this weekend. I was feeling a bit under the weather and spent a couple of hours reading your posts and looking at your photos. OH MY! What a blessed rest they gave me. I felt my homesickness for southern things ebb just a bit and fell in love with your beautiful family! You have a gift for words, too, as well as creating celebrations out of life. You're an artist! And I hope all tummies are settled there and this Monday is lovely in every way:)

Looks like you are doing the perfect job celebrating, Melissa!

Mary Ashley just gets cuter and cuter. Love her darling shirt in that picture, too. Love all of your pictures, and the pumpkin roll sounds delicious. Can't wait to see your soup recipe, too.

Love to you and all good wishes for a wonderful week with your sweet family.

Working in the medical field means that you will be working a ton of hours every week. Sample Cover Letter for Nursing Jobs An Rn operates as an invaluable part of the medical team in directing the roles of CNAs and LPNs to give the greatest care possible. Due to the fact that people are living longer lives, there is more need for nurses in a variety of situations.
