Summer Book Club Selection and Giveaway

Come home to small-town America in Phillip Gulley's delightful book Home to Harmony. With wit and warmth, Gulley introduces us to a colorful cast of characters in the picturesque community of Harmony, Ind. Publishers Weekly enthuses,

Occasionally, a simple book feels like home, and its characters become cherished friends. These vignettes will doubtless become favorites, not only for the quarter of a million people who enjoyed Gulley's Front Porch Tales, but also for new readers who will respond to the Garrison Keillor-style humor and pathos of fictional Harmony, Ind. The town's characters include the wise Quaker pastor who narrates the book; a childless couple who spend their life savings (and then some) to wrest their niece from the grip of her alcoholic parents; and the narrow-minded church elder who "knew just enough Scripture to be annoying, but not enough to be transformed." This book is pure joy.

Filled with funny anecdotes and poignant moments,  Home to Harmonyis a slice of Americana you are sure to love. Meet affable Sam in the video clips below.

"Sometimes what we think we need isn't what we need at all, and what gets thrown in for good measure is that which fills our hearts." -- Phillip Gulley

Hi Melissa, gave you another shout out today. I just love the way you share your book club with us. It's a dream of mine to have one like it. The ones I've been introduced to aren't like yours. Blessings!

Thanks so much for letting us know about your book club selections Melissa. I do not belong to a book club where we live now, so I have been reading your book club selections. I love to hear what your group has to eat and the decorations for the meetings when you share. I also have really enjoyed each of the books immensely. It is my little escape at night after my kids are in bed. So many thanks!
