Garden Sisters

"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost." ~ Marion C. Garetty

In years past, our annual trek to Jasmine Hill Gardens in Wetumpka was a family affair, but more recently the boys' full schedules have made our visits girls-only trips. Even when the boys are too busy to join us, we girls still want to take time to stop and smell the roses.

Or the lilies, as the case may be!

"Is solace anywhere more comforting than in the arms of a sister?" ~ Alice Walker

I am amazed! They are almost the same height! Emma is really growing fast. Sweet girls. :)

Stunning photos!
I recognize those dresses from your blog - they wore them in a wedding a while back (how do they still fit?)
Your photography is great too.
The boys are probably glad they are too busy to come (boys don't like taking pictures).
Wish I had such gardens nearby!

How dreamy! I've always wanted a sister. These photos--and these girls--are just beautiful. What treasures, and what a sweet tradition!

Ella, you are right! The girls wore these dresses three years ago for a wedding. You have a good memory! The dresses are shorter now, but the ties at the top make the size adjustable. They were perfect for a garden stroll!
