As Kassie was completing my blog makeover, major transformations have been going on at home as well. We are getting most of our flooring replaced this week. In order to make the money go further, we have been tearing out the old floors ourselves (with major assistance from my in-laws, who own a floor-covering business). I am looking forward to seeing everything come together by week's end.
With so much packing, pulling and scraping, it has been difficult to pause long enough to get projects posted, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on our work. And I have so many new projects to share!
I hope to steal a few moments this week to get back to the blog, but in the meantime wanted to share our book club's summer selection, Sweetwater Gap by Denise Hunter. Register below for your chance to win a copy of this engaging read.
You are sure to enjoy this great summer read: Sweetwater Gap by Denise Hunter.
Josie Mitchell's sister Laurel thinks she's come home to pitch in with the apple harvest and save the family orchard. Her brother-in-law Nate thinks she's there to talk the overworked, very pregnant Laurel into finally selling the family business. The orchard's new manager Grady Mackenzie just thinks she's trouble with a capital T. They're all right ... and all wrong. Because no one really knows what drove Josie from home in the first place. Why she's never come home before, even for her own father's funeral. Why she pushes herself so hard ... and what she's running from. And nobody, not even Josie, is prepared for the surprising new fruit she'll find on her last trip home.
Click here for a full-screen peek into this story of love and second chances. Once you read the first few chapters, I know you will be eager to return to the orchard to find out what happens next. Purchase your paperback copy here, or download it for your Kindle here.
