What a beautiful family picture this is. I know that you are not perfect, because no one is, but I sure haven't seen any flaws yet. I always love the big bows in the girls hair, and the victorian style dress, oh heck, I just love everything you do.
I agree...these are such lovely family photos! How sweet are your children!!!
What a perfect title- Sand Angels :o)
Blessings & Aloha!
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment. I know that before you can blink, it will seem that your baby girls will be walking down the aisle! Or so, it seems happened to us!
All our 3 are in college in Lexington, both our girls lived and went to Louisville their 4 yrs of undergrad. We have been in Georgia since 2004. and lived at Fort Rucker AL numerous times since my hubby flew helicopters for the Army. so, it is neat to think what a small world it is :o)
We are going in for pics today - WIth our weather patterns, we are not in a place where it's sunny and beachy - olan mills will have to do today - although my fave fam pics are outdoors --- you have a lovely family and it seems so very perfect at times -
I know like every mom you have your 'things' to deal with - thanks for being an inspiration and teaching through example the importance of making the most time with your children while you have them -
They will never foreget these moments I"m sure - you have certainly captured time in a beautiful way!
What do you do in your down time and do you take time alone to yourself at all when you do have down time? What's your fave things to do girl?
Anonymous, thanks for your comments. I don't have a lot of down time at this stage of life, so I have to admit, I often shave time off the housework I should be doing daily. :) I love filling my days with creative pursuits, so sewing, crafting, entertaining and writing are some of my favorite things to do. Most of that creative time is poured into doing things for my children, but that is one of the joys of this stage of life. Church is really important to our family, and I have a good group of friends and a closeknit family too. Of course, just like every mom/woman/person, I struggle with time pressures as well as the other stresses we face, but overall I feel very blessed and thankful. And I look forward to making more great memories every day!
OH Wow! These pictures are amazing!!!! I finally found your blog. I'll add it to my must reads. Of course unfortunately I have over 1000 entries I haven't read yet. I don't think I've read any blogs the entire summer.
Melissa, thanks for answering my question. You have such an inspirational blog and I've tuned in other Christian Girlfriends to continue reading your blog.
I long for the day, with God's speed and grace, to be able to let go of this career and be home with our two adorables. My son is 4 today, and I am working, while he's at daycare. I should be home with him playing marco polo with him in the pool right now. On Sunday, we had a magnificent 'Birthday in the Park' to celebrate with 15 of his friends - Most of our friends too...:) Very grateful for the time we shared and for the sunshine -
At this stage in my life, my hope is to be the best mom I can and pour God's love into their hearts for forever storage - and pray it sticks! (lol!) While praying for strength and courage, my goal in this life is to be a stay at home mom...
As the sole income provider for my family, my husband is just as involved in their growth. I still manage to sew, plan parties, attend church events, and teach classes for our women's ministry - amongst the demands of career and travel-
Your recipes and delightful posts remind me that as a mom, there's so much more opportunity to get it all 'in' - Thank you so much for the love that oozes from your blog posts about your family time. It's simply, devine.
Adorable!!! Did you make their dresses? Such cute comfy clothes...I want one for me!! Love the hair bows, how do you get them to wear them? What a great time you had...so sweet, and great pictures too.
