I couldn't resist these beautiful tulips I found this week. Their petals almost look handpainted.
Throughout the week this bouquet has added a lovely touch of spring to our home.
Tomorrow is the first official day of spring, so I hope warm weather will soon awaken the landscape around us.
"Awake, thou wintry earth
Fling off thy sadness
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!"
-- Thomas Blackburn, "An Easter Hymn"

Beautiful! Tulips really do say Spring so delightfully!
Those are delicious! I love how the Lord hand painted so much detail and beauty into this world for no other reason than for us to enjoy! Thanks for sharing these beauties with us all!
Those are stunning. They look like a cross between a flower and a feather!
How beautiful. They are a breath of spring.
Your tulips are beautiful, Melissa. Yes, tomorrow is the first day of spring and it certainly looks and feels like it in the Pacific NW. Everything is blooming a couple of weeks early because we have had such a mile winter. The temps are going to be around 66 or 67 the next couple of days. Perfect!
I hope spring will come to you soon. Debbi

Oh my, you are right...they do almost look hand painted. Spring has sprung here in the lowcountry of SC...yesterday was one of the most beautiful first days of spring that I can recall. Of course, it is raining today, but every day is a blessing!
The most beautiful tulips I have ever seen!! wow! gorgeous!!

Melissa,
Such delicate looking tulips. Yes, they look like a Monet painting. Never seen tulips like these before. Thank you for sharing.
