New Blooms

Yesterday Joe treated Emma and me to a trip to our local garden center, where I fell in love with these pink and green hydrangeas. I look forward to enjoying this reblooming variety into the fall.

Joe is so sweet to indulge my need for pink, pink and more pink. Clockwise, from top left: Forever & Ever Hydrangea; Impatiens; Barbara Karst Bougainvillea; and the Painted Lady Hibiscus.

I really need that sweet Forever and
Ever Hydrangea in my yard! That is beautiful, you will need to take loads of pics to share with us because I don't think it would survive our winters here. Lucky you! The perfect shades of pink and green, my favorites! It does remind me of you!

And in the words of Mr. Emerson, those are some beautiful rays!

I love pink, too, Melissa, and I particularly love hyndrangeas. They remind me of my husband's grandmother who had HUGE bushes in her yard. But her blue ones were a color that still amazes me.

I took a cue from you with all of your pink girly parties and did one for a friend of mine who came to visit in Florida. It was a blogger birthday with other blogging friends invited. But your beautiful parties inspired me to put on a girly do of the pinkest order! LOL! I used to entertain a lot, but have been a little slack over the last few years. So I determined I am going to celebrate more frequently because "big kids" like us need to celebrate, too!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Melissa.

Thank you so much for dropping by earlier in the week.

I love today's post, and I'm always inspired by your photographs and sentimental quote that you add!

I meant to comment yesterday, b/c I thought it was so ironic that we both posted about baby nurseries on the same day! As you dismantle the crib, I am getting ready to put one up! And I too am planning to do the exact same thing...snap one last photo of my daughter's crib bedding before donating it to a charity. :( I didn't have the quality camera that I do today and so I won't have pictures of the nursery as it was...she's since moved into a "big girl's room", I'll at least have some super snapshots.

Drop by if you have a chance...you will see the destruction that occurred to Mr. Zimmerman's barn (the original party location for Mary Catherine) and then post right under it is my "vintage-themed" nursery in progress.

Hope you had a spectacular day,

Valerie
