Princess Invitations

I adore these first birthday invitations I just made for a little princess named Emily. I hope when she looks back at these one day, she will know she was the belle of the ball at her birthday celebration.

This is the version I made for Emily's guests. These were quite time consuming to produce, but I am so pleased with the end result. I think they look like something out of a storybook.

With extra tulle and pearl beading, this version will be a lovely keepsake for the Birthday Girl.

I'm sending these with hopes that Princess Emily will live happily ever after!

Hi :)...I am new to your blog and amazed with ALL the wonderful gifts God has blessed you with! I had just a couple questions....but wasn't sure where to post them. So, here they go...1. What type of camera do you own?
2. Your white dresses from the beach 2008 did u make those? If so would you happen to know the pattern.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR BLOGS....I've been on here for 3 hours....past my bedtime.

Melissa, for some reason your pics aren't showing up. I was here last night and came back this morning, and still no pics. Not sure what's going on, but something is up. It seems that others are having the same problem.

I know that they are adorable. I'll drop by later and see if they are up then.

Hope you are feeling better and having a lovely day...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Heather, thanks for your sweet compliments! To answer your questions, my camera is a Sony 600. It is a DSLR,and I love it! I'm not sure which white dresses you are referring to, but I don't think I made any of our beach dresses. I think you can see my favorite dresses on the sidebar from 2007. Those long white dresses with lace trim and straps were from a company called Brinklies Berrries, which I believe has been bought out by Hannah Kate. If you are wondering about another pair of dresses, let me know the link and I'll check it out. Thanks, and I hope you'll visit often!

Hi Melissa.

What adorable invitations.

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your God-given talents with all of us.

I also saw that you were featured over at Kate Landers Events and have begun to follow her blog as well. Kate was so kind to drop by my blog to thank me for becoming a new follower.

Anyway, what I really wanted to share with you was that I am planning to do a "ballerina-themed" birthday party for my daughter Mary Catherine this August. You see...Mary will be turning 6 and receiving the gift of a baby brother on or around her birthday! (LOL)

Our original plan (for our horse-loving daughter) was to celebrate her birthday with a few close friends at a local farm (Zimmerman's Barn) about a mile from our home. As fate would have it, horrific storms rolled through the Kansas City metro area last Wednesday night and a micro burst or tornado (National Weather Service hasn't issued its final decision) touched down and destroyed our town's local landmark (bbq, weddings, English Rose lawn and garden shows, etc. were often held in the barn). Mary Catherine was so upset when I told her and she saw the footage on the news. BUT...she has been taking ballet since she was three and when I showed her your blog she quickly became excited about a "ballerina" birthday party.

Probably easier for me to manage at home as well with a 1-week or younger newborn! :)

Thank you again,
Valerie

These are the most gorgeous invitations to a child's birthday party that I have ever seen in my life.... and I'm not kidding. They would make Martha Stewart very, very jealous. You are immensely talented. Sincerely, Susan

THANK YOU SO MUCH! It is exactly what I was referring to but ALL of your children always look adorable in all of their outfits! Hopefully I can get a dress through that company! I WOULD LOVE IT...but most of all my daughter would :)!

Melissa, I'm able to see the pictures now, and they are wonderful. The dress reminds me of the ones in the movie "Sleeping Beauty" which was one of my favorite childhood movies. SO pretty. You did a great job!

Sheila :-)
