Shopping Savannah

Ooh-la-la! The vignettes at The Paris Market were a feast for the eyes.

Best Dishes from Paula Deen

With only one full day in Savannah, we were not able to eat at Paula Deen's famous Savannah restaurant. But I did find some treasures at her shop next door.

With pretty details like transferware plates hung on exposed brick walls, the Paula Deen Store felt homey and welcoming. I picked up a signed cookbook and some discounted Dot Crazy plates -- sweet souvenirs that capture the flavor of Savannah.

I just spent the last few minutes reading and looking at your beautiful pictures and stories about Savannah. It is now on my "must visit" list. It is so quaint and historic, and your photography portrays it so perfectly. Thank you for taking the time to share it with all of us. Really, I almost feel like I was there with you because of the photos that you captured.

The Paris Market looks like a fabulous store. I have never eaten at The Lady & Sons, but I wouldn't miss afternoon tea at The Tea Room on Broughton Street. I can't wait for another visit to Savannah.
