I will be thinking about some of these images from the beach today as I prepare for back surgery. I feel strengthened knowing that so many of you will pray for a good outcome. I would also appreciate any advice from those of you who have experienced this before.
I'm happy to know that this group is saving me a seat for all their adventures, and I'm thankful that you let me share a bit of your day with you.
I have more images to share this week, and I will update you soon on today's procedure!

Praying for you to have a successful surgery. I feel assured that your family will take good care of you. Afterall, they've had you as a good model of a caregiver. May God's blessings be upon you as you enter into surgery.
Thinking of you and sending prayers for your speedy recovery. We love you, sweet Melissa!

The best to you, Melissa. I will keep you in my prayers today. Sincerely, Susan
I may have said this before, forgive if I have, but your description of your pain and immobility sound exactly like what I experience. I will pray as one who empathizes and so hope that God will grant you relief through this surgery.
Praying for you today and your family as well. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Melissa, I will be praying for you today....FOR SURE! I have never had back surgery before but my husband has had three. It was instant relief for him. Take it easy and follow the DR. instructions. Be faithful with your therapy and excercises.

I prayed "to Him who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine" to guide your surgery and give you a speedy recovery. :)
Blessings!
Immeasurably, that is! :)
Hello. I've been following your blog for a while. I'm not sure that I've ever commented. I love visiting it though! I know your mom and dad. My husband interned at the Oxford church when he was just out of preaching school before we got married. We live nearby and see them occasionally. I just wanted to leave a comment to let you know that you and the rest of your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
p.s. When Matthew and I were dating, he bought me your book. I love it!
Prayers have been sent to the Father of all mercies!
I have a friend who had back surgery after years of agony, and he said that he wished he had done it sooner. His recuperation was rapid, too. So I'm hoping you will be all better very soon, dear one.
Praying for an oustandingly favorable outcome for you!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Sending prayers for healing to the Great Physician and knowing you will be in the best of hands! Keep us updated as you're able ~
My husband had back surgery 2 weeks ago and he is doing great! He suffered with extreme pain in his leg for months and could only crawl for a week before surgery. I am completely amazed by his recovery. It will take some time for the nerve damage to heal completely, but he is walking and the pain is non existent compared to pre surgery.
I hope all goes well. Just be patient and do everything the Dr. says.
